DESCRIPTION:An opportunity to visit historic buildings of Camperdown “Behind the Scenes” \nDiscover the stories\, architecture and heritage that shaped Camperdown during this special History Month event. \nOpen Camperdown offers rare behind-the-scenes access to some of the town’s most significant historic buildings\, with opportunities to explore\, learn and meet the people who help preserve local history. \nBrought to you by the Camperdown and District Historical Society and Corangamite Shire Council. \nParticipating venues include: \n\nLeura Lodge Masonic Hall – tour the building and learn about the Masons\nHeritage Centre – displays and the history of the former IOOF Hall\nTheatre Royal* – explore the various areas\nClock Tower* – open for climbing\nShire Office* – Robert Burns statue\, old Board Room and WWI Honour Board\nWestern District Newspapers – guided tours of the print areas.
