Whittlesea’s origin story is told through the eyes of the women who lived it. Their labour, their resilience, their humour, their grief, their grit. Their stories are not footnotes to the district’s history; they are the history.
Join us for History Month at Whittlesea Library and meet local historians and authors Gwen Hawke and Maureen Doyle who will discuss their book Whispers of History: Pioneering Women of Whittlesea prior to 1945.
