The Geelong Historical Society’s October Exhibition – Glimpses of the Past – will be officially opened at the Geelong Club, one of Geelong’s most significant heritage buildings. Members and guests are invited to attend the launch and enjoy guided tours of both the Exhibition and the historic Club.
For this meeting, members and guests are advised that the Society will meet at the Geelong Club, 74 Brougham Street, Geelong.
6.30 pm – Invited guests arrive
7.15 pm – Members and guests arrive
7.30 pm – Harry Roberts, President of the Geelong Historical Society, and Glenn King, President of the Geelong Club, speak about the histories of their respective organisations.
7.50 pm – Official launch of the Exhibition by our guest speaker.
8.05 pm – Guided tours commence:
• Stream 1: Tour of the Geelong Club, led by Colin Mockett.
• Stream 2: Tour of the Exhibition, led by Denise Feldman.
8.30 pm – Streams change over.
• Stream 1: Tour of the Exhibition, led by Denise Feldman.
• Stream 2: Tour of the Geelong Club, led by Colin Mockett.
8.55 pm – Supper in Café Felix.
