Stawell Historical Society Open Day

Are you a long term Resident of Stawell and district? Perhaps you have recently moved here and are keen to learn more about the history of Stawell, it’s families, businesses, industry, our claims to fame etc. Perhaps you have local history you can share with others.

October is the ideal opportunity to visit The Stawell Historical Society, have a look at our amazing Research Facility and a guided tour of The Old Pleasant Creek Courthouse Museum. Our experienced team of Volunteers are available to answer your questions and provide detailed commentary.

For Teachers this is an ideal opportunity to engage your school community in activities related to local history. We encourage student groups to visit.

For Community Groups, Families and Individuals, this is an opportunity to also share your knowledge and interest and research your own background.

We will be holding an open day on Saturday 12^th October from 11.00am – 3.00pm. A guided walk around the Historical Pleasant Creek Precinct is being conducted from 2.00pm – 3.00pm. The Museum will be open. If you are planning to bring a group please advise in advance.

Museum Entry: $5.00 per Adult

Children under 12 Free

Our usual open days are Wednesdays and Thursdays 10.00am – 4.00pm. Our team are more than happy to welcome you on other days by appointment.
