Surrey Hills Historical Society and the Canterbury History Group invite you to join us to celebrate the social history of weddings, the traditions behind them and the changes that can be seen over time.
This exhibition draws upon material held in our collections and within the local community. It includes dresses from the late 1890’s up until today, over 50 wedding photos, memorabilia including accessories, cards, and wedding invitations, over 1000 local marriage announcements and newspaper reports and individual’s stories.
